The main funding vehicle for the LASPE Scholarship Program is the annual LASPE Charity Golf Tournament. The Davis family generously donates funds in support of the Bruce Davis Memorial scholarship. Additional funds come from other sources and SPE International supports the scholarship program through annual rebates to the Section for a portion of the awards.
In addition to the above, the SPE Foundation annually awards the Gus Archie Memorial Scholarship, a four-year, $6,000 annual grant to the outstanding college freshman pursuing an undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering. The application for this scholarship can be found on the SPE website.
