The First Annual
"Petroleum Operations Day"
was a solid success!
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
We had great time last Friday and the
event went.....fantastically!. Thanks
to all of the sponsors and people who helped make this inaugural
event a
success. Attached are various
pictures that we took and the results
of the
event survey (survey form and summary results). On a rating of
1-5, 5 being
best, we received 26 fives and 4 fours for the overall event
from the thirty
teachers and guests who attended. I guess this means we should
have a
second annual event next year. The teachers really enjoyed the
tours, the
prizes and gifts, and the food. They wanted more information
than our
speakers had time to give. Their recommendations and comments
appeared fair
and we will incorporate their recommendations next time. I recommend
that
the refineries and producers continue working together to educate
our
teachers and community leaders.
I will be calling all of you next August
or September to help me on the
second annual event, and I will keep you informed of larger community
relations activities that the Society of Petroleum Engineers
are involved
in. Thanks again to all of you for your support.
