Dear LA Basin SPE
Members,
I want to emphasize for this edition of the newsletter that we have two special luncheon forum events in the month of February, both at the Long beach Petroleum Club.
First of all, we are delighted that the 2007 SPE President-Elect AbdulJaleel Al-Khalifa will join us on February 1. He will review his plans and goals for the society. This is an excellent and rare opportunity to interact personally with a SPE President. Please attend and learn more about our dynamic Society and ask questions about how he intends to guide it through new challenges posed by international growth.
In addition to that we are honored to have another Distinguished Lecturer to come to our Section with a timely technical presentation on February 7. Gerrit Nitters comes to us all the way from the Netherlands to present an update on practices for well stimulation methods, certainly a most timely topic for our area. Please join us and take advantage of the knowledge provided by someone with 30 years of combined research and practical experience in well stimulation.
Sincerely,
Pat Shuler
Chairperson, SPE Los Angeles Basin Section
